And he speaks ...

Out of the blue..Ethan (3 years old) said, " I'm going to be a Dad."
I said, " Really?  Are you going to have your own kids someday?"
He said, " Yes, I'm only gonna have four tids"  and he thought about that and changed it to.." A LOT OF TIDS! And there's gonna be lots of chairs for the boys!  And there won't be any girls and NO MOM!"

Yes, this may sound somewhat hurtful and mean, but it wasn't.  He made me laugh so hard when we had this little conversation.

Banana talk...

I'm sure every kid has done this...but for some reason tonight I thought it was incredibly funny.

He wanted a banana and asked if he could have one.  I said, "Go ask Daddy".   So he ran off and asked his dad, and came back and said, "Dad said yes!"

I got up from the chair I was on, and went to double check, because Ethan makes things up sometimes, and Chris said it was fine if he had one banana, but to save the last one for him for the next day.

I turned around to head back where Ethan was, and here he comes with his banana in the peel still, and holding it up to his ear likes it's a phone and said, "Hello?"

I laughed so hard!!

Fishing ....

While getting ready to go fishing with his Dad, I noticed Thomas was wearing his swim trunks on a morning that was a bit chilly.  I asked him why he had them on, and he said, " In case I fall in!"

Colored Eyes

The other morning Heidi woke up with some gunk in her eyes and they were kind of sealed shut.  Fearing that it was pink eye I kept her home.  Thomas overheard me talking with one of the kids when I was saying that she might be getting pink eye.  He piped in with, " Don't you mean a black eye?"

Just recently Heidi did have a black eye, it was big, puffy and bruised so Thomas didn't know anything but a black eye.

The finger ..

The other day I was having a conversation with Kaylee. And I actually cut her off by using a gesture with my hand.  This was what followed.

Kaylee, " Mom, it isn't fair I was trying to talk to you and you just gave me the finger..."  I was busting up laughing already.  But she did follow it up with .." that says to be quiet".

Mall Talk

Just the other day Heidi said, " Mom, let's go to the Mall!"
Ethan chimed in with, "We can't! We don't have any tickets."

That kid of mine cracks me up!!
